What should I do with my first cast iron pan, a new season or not.
I want to sear some steaks tonight. But after reading the instructions I'm afraid of a bunch of cast iron cookware. They will use the manufacturer's instructions are in the pan of boiling water before first use. I have read that boiling water in cast iron is generally a bad idea. Insert the manufacturer. Also claims never pan must be seasoned again. But I did not see the whole. Should I follow the instructions of the manufacturer or not. How should I clean and store. After running or not. I do not want to cut them and start (No smoking me out of the house is not already selected). So please … I need advice from people who have actually purchased seasoning before frying pan. Thanks!
When you do so, they re-season. …… I use my everyday Corn bread makes the best.
